Charlotte is poised for a comeback in a new forecast of the top U.S. housing markets for 2025.
Realtor.com put Charlotte at No. 14 on a list ranking the nation’s 100 largest metros on expected year-over-year growth rates of existing-home sales and median sale prices in 2025. It predicts increases of 15.7% for home sales and 8.4% for prices across the Charlotte metro next year. As of November, the median sale price in the Charlotte metro was $405,000, according to Canopy MLS data.
That marks a reversal from Realtor.com’s expectations for Charlotte last year, when it forecast a year-over-year decline of 22.4% in home sales and a 0.9% drop in prices. That ranked Charlotte at No. 97 on its list for 2024.
