City of Statesville Invites the Community to an Open House

The City of Statesville excited to invite the community to an event that will have a significant impact on the future of its neighborhoods. Please join them for an Open House on Monday, July 22nd to discuss the future of the Monroe Street/Allison St corridor and West Front Street corridor.

Event Details:

  • Date: Monday, July 22, 2024
  • Time: Drop in anytime between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM
  • Location: Statesville Civic Center, 300 S. Center Street, Room B

Over 50 community members offered their input on the needs and potential of two Statesville neighborhoods in January. The City of Statesville has taken that community input to create a draft vision for each of the communities. Now, the public is invited to come and see that vision and offer their thoughts.

The City of Statesville has secured funding from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to explore how they can make the best use of older manufacturing buildings and enhance the overall quality of life in our communities. These neighborhoods have a rich history of manufacturing that spans over a century, with some buildings still in use and others left unused for decades.

Input and feedback are crucial in shaping the future of these neighborhoods. The Open House on July 22nd is the opportunity for citizens to share their thoughts on what is proposed for their neighborhood and the suggested changes.
