Iredell County Schools Surpass the State in Academic Growth and Graduation Rates

North Carolina State Board of Education and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction recently released their district and school academic performance data, and Iredell County surpasses the state in academic growth and graduation rates.

In a recent press release, Mooresville Graded School District (MGSD) announced their exceptional results from the latest North Carolina state accountability reporting, highlighting top-ranking academic performance, outstanding student growth, and unmatched graduation success.

One of only three school districts in North Carolina where every single school met state growth targets and no schools identified as low-performing, MGSD achieved remarkable statewide academic milestones when compared to the 115 school districts in North Carolina:

Similarly, Iredell-Statesville Schools continue to make positive strides in improving student achievement, with 23 of 36 schools meeting or exceeding academic growth expectations. A total of 22 schools increased their overall growth score.

Iredell-Statesville Schools increased their graduation rate slightly from 91.1% to 91.6%, remaining well above the state average of 88.8%. This graduation rate also reflects the highest in the district’s history.
