New Industrial Development Announced at Odessa Drive in Statesville, NC
Godley Property, a real estate development company based in the Charlotte Region, has plans to develop 98 acres of land located at the Northeast Quadrant of Interstate 77 and Interstate 40 in Statesville, NC. The site plan will include three new industrial buildings ranging from 250,000 – 400,000 SF for a total of approximately 1 Million SF.
The City of Statesville approved an incentive for the project for up to $496,896 based on a capital investment of up to $40,000,000. The grant was approved by the City of Statesville Council Meeting on December 4 under their industrial incentive policy which was adopted in June 2022 to support industrial projects with public infrastructure and in return will provide site and build ready product to attract industry and the creation of jobs and investment. Time to market is critical to the decision-making process to lease or purchase a site or facility; having available product will aid in securing investment and jobs. Supporting the public infrastructure improvements can help a developer to accelerate the timeline and mitigate risk associated with a site.
