New Private Investment Adds Workforce Housing Near I-77/I-40 Interchange
Madison-Simmons Homes & Communities has broken ground on Meadow Springs, a 16-home single-family community located off Greenbriar Road near the I-77/I-40 interchange. The project represents new private residential investment in Statesville’s housing market at a time when workforce housing availability has become a key factor in the region’s ability to attract and retain employees.
The Charlotte-area builder, with more than 25 years of experience, identified Statesville as an underserved market with strong fundamentals. The development will add move-in-ready inventory to a city that has seen consistent employment growth across manufacturing, healthcare, and distribution sectors.
“Communities like Meadow Springs directly support Iredell County’s economic growth,” says Mary Palmes of Howard Hanna Allen Tate Real Estate. “When businesses look to expand or relocate here, the availability of quality housing is part of the decision. Adding new inventory close to the county’s major corridors strengthens that case.”
Meadow Springs is expected to complete construction in 2026. For more information, contact Mary Palmes (704-838-2319) or Melissa Jones (704-251-4008), or visit madisonsimmonshomes.com.
