2021 Supply Chain Survey Results By the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance

The Charlotte Regional Business Alliance recently released the 2021 Supply Chain Survey results.  The survey was open from Mid-June through Mid- August.  The survey was distributed to key manufacturers in the 16 county region in both North and South Carolina and collected 116 responses from companies of all sizes.

Key Takeaways from the survey included:

  • An almost unanimous 98% respondents indicated that availability of qualified labor was a very important factor in their competitiveness.
  • Over 74% of respondents indicated workforce upskilling was an important factor.
  • Automation would be an important factor in success of their business.
  • Tariffs always have the potential to complicate local supply chains and overall produce many challenges
