North Carolina Community College System Apprenticeships combine on-the-job learned with related classroom instruction allows participants to earn while they learn a trade. Crosby Scholars
Iredell Crosby Scholars Community Partnership is a nonprofit college access organization whose purpose is to prepare students academically, financially, and personally for successful college admission and other post-secondary opportunities best suited to their needs, aptitudes and dreams. Benefits for the students include advisory services, career and college exploration activities, and college admission and financial aid workshops. Edge Factor, Iredell-Statesville Schools & Mooresville Grade Schools
Edge Factor is an online digital platform available at 23 schools in Iredell County. This platform equips educators with story-driven media, interactive activities, and gamified tools designed to inspire students to pursue career pathways, connect with parents, and raise awareness of local career opportunities. The turnkey, multimedia resources included in the membership-based platform are STEAM relevant, align to statewide standards, highlight career profiles, instill soft skills, introduce technology, include hands-on activities, recruitment tools, parent resources, cinematic stories, and much more. NCWorks Career Centers
NCWorks Career Centers offer a wide range of services and programs. These include helping veterans overcome barriers to employment, assist dislocated workers in going back to work, job seekers with criminal records, individuals with disabilities, individuals who have limited English-speaking capabilities, and young adults that need help in their careers. Each individual receives personalized assistance with Center staff that will increase employment, retention, and meet skill requirements of employers by using NCWorks and other community resources.
