Iredell EDC Attends the 2025 NCEDA Emerging Executives Forum
Evan Day, Research Analyst for Iredell EDC, recently attended the 2025 NCEDA Emerging Executives Forum, April 9–10 in Durham. The forum brought together early-career professionals in North Carolina’s economic development community. The two-day event featured keynote speakers, leadership panels covering topics such as career advancement, how to build your professional brand, and trade show best practices. A highlight of the forum was roundtable sessions on the best practices in speculative building development, which offered insights on public and private development, multi-jurisdictional parks, and strategies for rural localities. Day was joined by Iredell EDC’s President & CEO, Jenn Bosser, who participated in the leadership panel on career advancement as well as the roundtable session on best practices in speculative building development.
“The Emerging Executives forum was a great opportunity to meet other young professionals in the economic development field,” shares Day. “I enjoyed connecting with our partners, such as EDPNC, and gained a lot of valuable insights on career advancement and speculative building development.”
After the event, attendees were invited to attend optional tours of the Durham Bulls stadium or the American Tobacco Campus.
