A large industrial project in Statesville has changed hands in a recent sale.

Last week, Chicago-based LaSalle Investment Management Inc. bought Statesville Commerce Center for $27.8 million, according to Iredell County real estate records. LaSalle bought the 263,690-square-foot building from Williams Development Group, which developed the structure. LaSalle paid just over $105 per square foot for the property.

Statesville Commerce Center is 57% leased. German company Weinig Holz-Her leases nearly 150,000 square feet there. The tenant opened its facility in October 2024, creating 43 jobs. The remainder of the building at Barkley Road and Highway 70 is still available for lease.

Colliers International‘s Nolan Ashton, Tommy Whitmore, Grant Miller and Phoebe Dinga represented Williams Development in the sale to LaSalle. Miller and Dinga will handle leasing efforts at Statesville Commerce Center on behalf of the new owner.

“This transaction underscores the strong demand for high-quality industrial assets in the Charlotte MSA,” Ashton said. “Statesville Commerce Center’s premier location and modern design make it an attractive investment for institutional buyers looking to capitalize on the region’s continued industrial growth.”
