Town of Mooresville Announces Veterans Week Celebration: November 3 – 13, 2025

The Town of Mooresville is proud to announce its annual Veterans Week celebrations from Monday, November 3 through Tuesday, November 13, 2025, honoring the brave men and women who have served our country. The week includes a variety of meaningful events culminating in the community-favorite Veterans Day Parade.

Key Events & Schedule

Monday, November 3: POW/MIA Flag Processional & Ceremony, 9 a.m. Starting at Richards Coffee Shop (165 N. Main Street), the flag processional will proceed to Town Hall (413 N. Main Street) for a commemorative ceremony honoring prisoners of war and those missing in action.

Thursday, November 6: Veterans Breakfast, 8–10 a.m. Veterans and their families are invited to a complimentary breakfast, hosted by the Top of the Lake Rotary Club, at the Charles Mack Citizen Center (215 N. Main Street). RSVP is required by October 31.

Saturday, November 8: “One Nation Under God” Luncheon, 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Hosted by the Exchange Club of Mooresville/Lake Norman behind Richards Coffee Shop (165 N. Main Street), this free luncheon honors veterans, each veteran may bring one guest.

Tuesday, November 11: Glenwood Park Memorial Ceremony & Veterans Day Parade

Memorial Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. at Glenwood Memorial Park (273 Glenwood Drive) – a solemn tribute to our local veterans.

Veterans Day Parade: 1:00 p.m. – The annual parade down Main Street invites the community to come together, pay tribute to our hometown heroes, and show support for veterans. Main Street will be closed to traffic during the parade.

Building Homes for Heroes Groundbreaking Celebration: 2:00–4:30 p.m. – Join Building Homes for Heroes along with the Town of Mooresville and Lowe’s, as they break ground on the organization’s first-of-its-kind community dedicated to veterans and first responders. After the groundbreaking event, community members are encouraged to join a celebration at Liberty Park. The event will feature live music, food trucks, family-friendly activities and the Patriotic Parachute team.

Thursday, November 13: “Be Someone’s Hero” Blood Drive 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Honor our veterans by participating in a blood drive at Richard’s Coffee Shop (165 N. Main Street). Your donation can save lives and is a great way to give back to those who have served.
