Iredell County Economic Development Corporation Joins North Carolina Delegation at 2025 SelectUSA Conference

Washington, DC – The Iredell County Economic Development Corporation (ICEDC) proudly participated as a member of the State of North Carolina’s delegation in partnership with the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina at the 2025 SelectUSA Investment Summit, held from May 11 to 14 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.

Dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) in the United States, this prestigious event provided a unique platform for economic development representatives to forge valuable connections and explore investment opportunities.

The SelectUSA Investment Summit is renowned as the highest-profile event in the U.S. focused on FDI and attracts thousands of participants, including U.S. government officials, business executives, site selection consultants, economic development practitioners, and industry leaders from over 90 international markets. The event offers attendees the opportunity to engage in industry-focused networking sessions, gain insights from policy and industry experts, and explore an exhibition hall featuring hundreds of economic development organizations (EDOs), federal agency partners, service providers, and startups.

As part of the Economic Partnership of North Carolina delegation and event participant, Jenn Bosser, President & CEO, Iredell EDC, had a first-hand opportunity to connect with companies interested in opening an operation in the US.

North Carolina Governor Josh Stein, North Carolina Department of Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley, and Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina’s CEO Chris Chung were among the distinguished attendees representing North Carolina. Their presence underscored the state’s commitment to fostering economic growth and attracting international investment. Iredell EDC, along with other North Carolina EDOs, leveraged this opportunity to highlight the state’s robust infrastructure, skilled workforce, and business-friendly environment.

The conference provided Iredell EDC with the chance to build strategic contacts, exchange ideas, and promote Iredell County’s competitive advantages. Located in the Charlotte Region, Iredell County boasts a diverse economy with strengths in manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, information technology, logistics, and agriculture.
