Iredell EDC Welcomes Evan Day, Research Analyst

Iredell County Economic Development Corporation (Iredell EDC) is pleased to announce and welcome Evan Day as Research Analyst. In this role, Day will serve as the primary lead contact for research and data inquiries, maintain a building and site database, update community marketing information, and support the economic development team in response to project inquiries and RFIs. He will also support the team and the community by gathering, tracking, and analyzing data trends to support and promote new business development, product development, existing industry, and workforce development across Iredell County.

A recent graduate of Appalachian State University, Day has a Master of Public Administration degree. His passion for economic development was fueled by his internship with Creative Economic Development Consulting in Elkin, NC where he collaborated with municipalities from North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia to support economic development efforts. He also served as an intern with the City of Statesville where he shadowed and assisted in various departments including planning, administration, utilities, and emergency services.

Day shares, “It is an honor to be able to serve Iredell County as a research analyst at Iredell EDC. Having grown up in Statesville, I have a strong connection with this community. There is a great team at Iredell EDC, and I am excited to join.”

“We are thrilled to have Evan Day join the Iredell EDC team as Research Analyst,” said Jenn Bosser, President & CEO. “He has a firm foundation built through his experience with Creative Economic Development and the City of Statesville while his academic achievements are a testament to his drive and desire to learn. He is a native of Iredell County and very enthusiastic about its growth.”
