VICCI, Inc., A Major Motorsports Company Considers Investment In Troutman

A significant economic development opportunity is on the horizon for Troutman and Iredell County, as two of motorsport’s most respected names—Kelly-Moss and Riley—join forces to launch a new strategic entity: VICCI, Inc.

VICCI will serve as the parent company of both Riley and Kelly-Moss, uniting their industry-leading expertise while maintaining their independent operations. Riley, already established in Mooresville, NC, is widely recognized for its leadership in endurance racing and advanced automotive engineering and manufacturing. Kelly-Moss, meanwhile, has built a national reputation synonymous with Porsche racing and high-performance excellence.

Under the new structure, VICCI plans to consolidate and expand its operations in Troutman. The company will relocate its corporate headquarters and racing operations from Fitchburg, Wisconsin, while also moving Riley’s existing Mooresville facility to Troutman. This consolidation marks a major commitment to the region’s growing motorsports and advanced manufacturing sector.

The project represents a substantial economic investment, with up to $25 million planned for real property, machinery, and equipment. In addition to strengthening the local industrial base, VICCI will relocate approximately 50 jobs from Wisconsin and create at least 10 new jobs, with average wages exceeding the county average of $64,895.

VICCI is currently considering the purchase of the Town-owned facility at 250 Old Murdock Road in Troutman, formerly home to Keystone Powdered Metal Company. Returning this property to active use would place it back on the Town and County tax rolls, further benefiting the community.

Project timelines indicate a decision to locate was made in June 2026, with initial capital investment beginning in July 2026. Renovations are expected to be completed by December 2027, with full project investment anticipated by the end of that year.

The Town of Troutman held a public hearing on Thursday, June 11 to approve a resolution to grant incentives to the company, as well as a resolution for the Town to enter into a purchase agreement with the Town of Troutman to purchase the building.  Iredell County also held a public hearing on Tuesday, June 16 to approve incentives for the project. If approved, the VICCI investment will further solidify the region’s reputation as a hub for motorsports innovation and advanced manufacturing, while bringing high-quality jobs and renewed economic vitality to Troutman.
